Fuel subsidy, how to claim?
Starting from 14 Jun 2008, you may start heading to any outlets of Pos office Malaysia to get your subsidy payment of RM625 for vehicle below 2000cc or pickup truck below 2500cc and RM150 for motorcycle below 200cc.
Note! This batch of subsidy payment only for vehicle which road tax expiry date is between 1 April 2008 to 31 May 2008 and had already renew their road tax.
Who is qualified for the payment?
1) Owner of private registered vehicle which is:-
2) Malaysian with mykad / polis idendity card, army idendity card.
3) Only the vehicle owner can make the claim of payment at Pos office.
4) The roadtax must be paid dated between 1 April 2008 to 31 May 2008 only. Roadtax renewal that made after 1 Jun 2008, claim can only be made from 1 July 2008 onwards.
5) The vehicle must use only one fuel type either Petrol or Diesel.
6) One owner only entitle for claim of 5 vehicle maximum per year.
How to claim the subsidy?
Step 1:
- Go to post office with your original identidy card / mykad.
Step 2:
- Fill in form that can be obtain in the Pos office.
- Detail required are Name as in IC/ Ic number/ Car plate number.
Step 3:
- Verify the requirement of petrol subsidy.
Step 4:
- If you are entitle for the subsidy, proceed with thumb print verification.
Step 5:
- Get your payment!
Its so simple! The Pos Malaysia claim that you can get your payment within 3 minutes. However, it is common that we have to que for hours before our turn to do our business with Pos Malaysia. lol!
