Mitsubishi TRITON 3.2 4x4 and 2.5 4x2 will be launch soon!

Recently, the Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia announce that they will launch 2 more variant of the Mitsubishi Triton which is 3.2 4x4 and 2.5 4x2 variant. It will be launched somewhere in June 2008. The 3.2 4x4 variant will be highest variant which will sell at RM100k region.






While that, the 2.5 4x2 variant is budget version of Mitsubishi Triton. It is expected to replace the current old aging Mitsubishi L200 which previously known as Mitsubishi Storm. The Mitsubishi Triton 2.5 4x2 will be sold at RM60k region.

Just like the current Mitsubishi Triton 2.5 4x4 variant, the 2 new variant will be CBU imported from Thailand factory. The current 2.5 4x4 variant is sold at RM91,782 for automatic transmission version and RM86,782 for manual transmission version. So what Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia intends is to wider the Triton's market.



The Mitsubishi Triton 3.2 4x4 is expected to equipted with 3.2 liter turbo diesel engine which is found in the Mitsubishi Triton 3.2 that sold world wide. The 3.2 liter engine will give you 158horse power or 118kw at 3800 rpm and 347Nm of torque at 2000 rpm.

The Triton is able to carry 75 litter of fuel with its fuel tank and the fuel supply used is the common rail direct injection system which is common in all pickup trucks. Fuel consumption wise, the Triton is slightly weaker than the Isuzu D-Max which the Triton is stands in 9.1 litter / 100km.



Specification wise, the 3.2 4x4 Triton is equipted with 2 airbags, impact tentioning seat belt for all front and rear seats, immobilizer, ABS and EBD, automatic air conditioner, tinted windscreen and a cd player.



All the specification stated above is for the Mitsubishi Triton 3.2 4x4 sold in other countries but we can expect the same we will get in Malaysia.



More information will be coming soon as i think the Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia will begin to release more and more information about the car in later time. So we just have to wait for it.
