Since we could not change the fact that the petrol price had hike to RM2.704. Today, i would like to share some little tips on how to spend lesser on petrol. I found it very useful and i practise this now. Lets hope it can help me to cut some petrol expenses.

Here are some tips i have:

• Best solution, take public transport or walking if it is near.

• Do not go out with car when there is not necessary.

• Try your best let your car run smoothly.

• Avoid keep pressing the pedal to accelerate.

• Control your car running below 3k rpm. When its above 3,000 rpm, it will cost you alot of petrol.

• Do not speed. Below 90km/h is the best way to reduce fuel consumption.

• If you driving manual, do not lazy to change gear to make sure the engine is run smooth.

• When traffic jam, avoid keep pressing the gas pedal and the brake. Let the car move forward slowly, this will help you to save some money.

• Plan your route before you depart for your destination. This can avoid unnecessary fuel comsumption in the event you lost direction in the road.

• Avoid driving on slopy road.

• Drive a car with lower engine capacity. Eg. 1300cc?

• In normal day, try to use small engine capacity car such as below 1000cc vehicle. When outstation, only choose to drive more comfort car which is bigger cc.

• Always maintain your engine at tip top condition. Remember to change the air filter regulary.
