Perodua MPV to be based on MYVI / VIVA? Longer wheelbase!
Previosly, i had blog a post about Perodua MPV . Today, one of my blog reader Mr5zal had updated me with some information about the Perodua MPV.
According to the Perodua staffs, the MPV will be based on Viva's platform. In another words, may be you can imagine a Viva with longer chasis and wheelbase. They also said something about Kenari Replacement Model.
After hearing this rumour, i guess may be the Perodua MPV we had been rumoured for long is the Kenari replacement model that had grown in size? What model from Daihatsu will Perodua copy this time? Anyone got any clue? Im unsure. Perhaps it is based on Dahatsu Move again.
However, there is another posibility that the Perodua MPV will based on Viva but with longer and wider chasis to make it as large as Toyota Avanza which also produced by Perodua? Will the new Perodua MPV replaced Toyota Avanza? May be Perodua MPV will based on Toyota Sienta?

hi. i did my car tinted in AIRCOOL. RM488... if u noe hw to negotiate, u might get cheaper. i get mind at only RM450... 52% heat rejection for front, 80% heat rejection on side.
But i decide to upgrade my tinted for the front screen to 70%. nid to add RM100. so total is RM550 i did.
There are many AIRCOOL branch out there. I did mine in Pandan Indah branch... it is located behind the Menara Maxisegar opposite the Menara MPAJ.
I satisfied or not? So far im quite satisfied with it. Driving under sun will not be hot. But for sure after park long time under sun the car will still hot...
My vios is second car i tint it with Aircool. My family also owned an air cool tinted AVANZA.
i was in P2 yesterday and got some news update, but it's quite confusing. P2 QC staff that i met yesterday said that the new MPV will be based on Myvi. i ask him about which daihatsu model that the new mpv will be based on but it seem like he is not confident enough to answer my question. he think that it will be based on toyota model, not daihatsu model. personally, i dont really confident with his answer.
but, if u think that P2 will stop to produce Avanza, u are wrong. New Avanza facelift will be launched this year.

hihi. thx for ur info. perhaps the Perodua will redesign the Toyota Sienta and put Myvi shape on it? And maybe Perodua will produce that MPV and sell to other country under Toyota?

Toyota will launch the next generation of Sienta in the end of December
according to a car magazine in Japan.

Only rear rendering is available for this new model.
This next generation Sienta will be designed and manufactured by Daihatsu
and be sold under Toyota and Daihatsu brand.
Instead of using Vitz based chasis, it will base on extended Passo
chasis. The length is expected to be maintained at 4100mm.
According to the magazine, the front mask will looks a bit like Toyota
Wish. Tail lamps have a vertical design extending from the top to down,
unlike the Wish’s which do not extend into the D pillar and this is
similiar to Proton's coming MPV. Sliding is also expected to be
maintained.
This MPV is designed for 6 seaters with the same 1.5 engine used in
Toyota dB. The closest rival of this model will be Honda Freed that has
be launched for months.
Judging from the above information, specs and launch date, it is highly
probable that the coming MPV from Perodua will be based on this model.
Perodua MPV is expected to be launched in Sept 2009.
More information will be leaked from now on because there only few months
left from the launch date.
