Perodua Nautica - The name of the Kembara 2008 replacement model
The name of new Kembara had been reported in Motortrader.com.my as Perodua Nautica. Well, i think Perodua Nautica is a nice name which seems that Perodua are intends to move further with this model.
For your information, the Perodua also will also launched their new logo on this new Perodua Nautica model. We will able to see the new Perodua logo together with this new Perodua Nautica SUV when it is launched at middle of May,2008.
The new Perodua Nautica is a 4wd 5 seater's SUV powered by a 1.5L 3SZ-VE "topaz" engine which put out 77KW or 105hp at 6000rpm and 140Nm at 4400rpm.
The Perodua Nautica will be imported from Japan instead of producing themself. This also means that we have to pay RM90,000 above to get this sweet SUV. Since it is CBU unit from Japan, i guess the quality of this new Perodua Nautica will be great!

For a 1.5L car costing RM90K +, there are better choices if you are willing to spend that sort of money.
Sure it's not an SUV but for less than 100K I'd get a Hyundai Sonata!!!
ya.. i do agree with you... if perodua price this car at 90K, i personally do not think it will sell well.. but i think if the quality on the Perodua Nautica is good, i think it is worth for it. And Perodua Nautica is aiming on people who want some offroad experiece. So there is its own market there although it is pricey.
